@zuzana-k we encountered recently an issue of a referral card where it created confusion as in the retrieval it appeared in a different name but it was a referral card. We really need to revisit this issue to improve the accuracy.

RE: What do you do, if you find the title has been catalogued in the Aleph?
@zuzana-k on your question, "Do you mean where the data are NOT transferred in Aleph?" - No, it really meant that the data HAS ALREADY BEEN transferred in Aleph. If it had not been transferred, it means that you need to edit it, and transfer all the data to Aleph
Please noted that we are talking about titles and bibliographic entry of cards that are alreay existing in Aleph. Please go back to our card status:
Complete – card that has been edited and the fields has been entered in the system.
Transferred – This is the label which says that the data in the card has been entered in AlephIt is not you (the editor) who transferred but we are describing the card as has already been TRANSFERRED or ENCODED to Aleph before the OI system was made

RE: Automatic Merging
@zuzana-k yes if the cards have the wrong heading or merged on the wrong cards we need to change it manually. @VincentCheng are we doing it right?

What does those card status mean?
Transferred – This is the label which says that the data in the card has been entered in Aleph. For the referring cards (the back cards), change the status of the referring card manually.
Skipped – this refers to Referring and Referral cards that is not a priority as they are just additional references. These cards are treated the same as the value of Complete.
Reviewed – the cards that has been viewed or assigned by a cataloguer to other cataloguer/s but has not been fully edited
Incomplete – card that are never edited or has been assigned to another cataloger Complete – card that has been edited and the fields has been entered in the system.
Approved - Card that has been edited, marked as complete and reviewed by the Admin.
Card status, skipped, reviewed

What do you do, if you find the title has been catalogued in the Aleph?
- Mark it as "Transferred"
- You skip editing and proceed to other cards
Take note that it is different from the cards which are edited and where the data are transferred in Aleph. This is marked as Complete.
